Careers in Marketing

The career I have chosen that I could get out of marketing is a marketing specialist. A marketing specialist is either an in house or bought professional that gives advice on how to market and grab a certain audience. The average salary of a marketing specialist is $67,086. You will generally need a bachelors degree in market research and have fairly good math skills. Some companies might even require a masters degree in market research and you will typically have to be okay at computer science. 2 possible schools you could go to to take market research and get a bachelors or masters degree are Lasalle College located in Vancouver and UBC which is also located in Vancouver. The cost of tuition at Lasalla College would be around $12,750 for 1 year while the cost at UBC can reach all the way up to $16,000. You can find job postings all over the internet, you can share your location with your browser and search up marketing specialist careers and you will see where theyre hiring and it seems pretty easy to apply online. Some reasons that I would like to be a marketing specialist is youll get to work in a fun environment and most marketing specialists like there job, I like marketing and find it easier than doing stuff like math and science all day. You get to communicate with people and help make your company bigger and better. You’ll be challenged to think creatively everyday. You’ll have to come up with new ideas often to not lose customers and also to gain more customers. You might even be able to travel places, you may be asked to go give samples of the product to people in a certain place or you may go to a conference and advertise your product. You will have a lot of success and also face a few challenges. Everyone likes the feeling of success, ecspecially when you face a hard challenge and you pass it, you feel like you have accomplished something huge after. The job that I would take as of today, would be a digital marketing specialist for Coast Capital Savings in Surrey British Columbia. I would choose this because I know that bank and could help to improve them and help them grow and get more customers. Surrey is also really close to my home which is in Langley so I would be driving to work with a maximum time of 30 minutes.
